David Shepherd Art Competition Winners!

Shottermill Juniors win at art competition in London!

Shottermill Junior School were invited to the Natural History Museum as one of 15 shortlisted schools for the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation Art and Poetry Competition.

12 children attended the presentation and were thrilled to be selected as winners! After entrering the competition for a number of years, it was wonderful to finally collect an award.

The competition's aim is to inspire young artists and poets to think about the environment and endangered species. The theme of this year's competition was 'our precious planet'. Shottermill's prize is an opportunity to adopt an elephant named Nkala from the Foundation.

A huge well done to all the children and to Mrs Wilson and Mrs Holdsworth!
